Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Wayne County Court Docket. By visiting, searching, or reading a page, a visitor accepts these conditions. A visitor who does not accept them should not continue to use the site. These terms apply to this private reference source and not to the court or clerk systems linked from it.

NO FCRA USE. Wayne County Court Docket is privately operated and has no affiliation with a court or government body. It is not a consumer reporting agency or a private investigation firm. Neither this site nor an advertising provider offers a service for an FCRA-regulated purpose. The site offers general reference information about Wayne County, North Carolina court-docket and case-record sources.

1. What This Website Is

Wayne County Court Docket is a private reference source. It is not part of the Wayne County Clerk of Superior Court, North Carolina Superior Court, North Carolina District Court, or the state’s eCourts Portal. It does not store official dockets or files, retrieve a case for a user, alter a court date, or file a document.

The site identifies public source channels: the clerk who maintains the official local file, the trial courts that hear matters, and the statewide Portal used to locate public case information. A third-party tool displayed on a content page is not an official court service.

2. Informational Use Only

All material is general information. It does not replace an official docket, a court order, or legal advice. For a record, date, filing deadline, or case status, confirm the information with the Wayne County Clerk of Superior Court or the court that maintains the matter.

North Carolina court-record inspection is governed by G.S. 7A-109, subject to restrictions including the juvenile-record rule in G.S. 7B-3000. Those rules govern court access, not this private reference source.

3. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Violate a federal, North Carolina, or local law
  • Use information to stalk, harass, or threaten another person
  • Use the site or a linked service for an FCRA-regulated purpose
  • Attempt to enter a system or access information without authorization
  • Run bots, scrapers, or other automated tools against the site
  • Interfere with site performance or other visitors’ access

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Wayne County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, compile reports about individuals, or provide a service for an FCRA-regulated purpose. You agree not to use information from this site or a linked tool for:

  • A purpose regulated by the FCRA
  • A decision about a person’s eligibility for a benefit or service
  • A decision made by a government program or licensing body
  • A purpose that requires a consumer-reporting agency
  • Any other prohibited use under applicable law

Use an appropriate legally authorized provider if a contemplated purpose requires a consumer report.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. The site cannot determine how a charge, order, filing, or deadline applies to a particular person or case. A North Carolina-licensed attorney can provide advice about a pending matter or legal rights.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Information is supplied “as is.” Wayne County Court Docket does not promise that:

  • Information is accurate, complete, or current at every moment
  • The site remains available without interruption
  • Pages are free of errors, defects, or security issues
  • Results supplied by a third-party tool are complete or accurate

Court dockets can change when a filing is made, a hearing moves, a matter is sealed, or a court enters a disposition. Nothing here is an official statement by a clerk or court. Confirm a docket entry or setting with the court that maintains the case before relying on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Wayne County Court Docket links to court, clerk, public-agency, and outside service websites. A link takes a visitor to an independent service with its own content, availability, practices, terms, and charges. Wayne County Court Docket is not responsible for those independent services.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code on Wayne County Court Docket belong to the site or its content partners unless another source identifies a different owner. Do not copy, distribute, alter, or build on that material without written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Wayne County Court Docket is not liable for damages arising from use of the site or an independent linked service, including an action taken in reliance on information found there.

10. Indemnification

You agree to protect Wayne County Court Docket from claims, actions, demands, legal fees, and related costs arising from your use of the site or a violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Any dispute related to use of Wayne County Court Docket must be filed in a court located within North Carolina.

12. Changes to These Terms

Wayne County Court Docket may revise these terms. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.
